Seaport Boston wedding photography in October: nice weather, nice light, and beautiful scenes for portraits! I was at the Exchange Conference Center for this Jewish-Catholic fusion wedding. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all hosted by this gem of a venue on the Boston waterfront. The bride got ready there as well, while the groom prepped for the big day at the nearby Seaport Hotel. We went over to the Moakley Courthouse and used the adjacent Fan Pier Park to check out the views after the ceremony and there was plenty of nice wedding portraits to be had. The sunset was a little past 6 p.m. which was good timing. That meant that right after their first dance and the first course, we were able to duck out to grab an extra portrait at dusk with that cobalt blue sky that happens at that time of day.
There’s a subtle shot I grabbed of the best man double checking the ring box to make sure he had the wedding rings. No one wants to get caught empty handed in that situation! Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they had cupcakes of many flavors from Party Favors of Brookline. They had more than enough for all their guests, so I got to bat clean up and have more than one!
